Loot System
Summary
We use our own loot system that works with a priority rating (PR). The priority rating of players gets calculated by several different aspects that come with raiding. such as attendance, performance, upgrade percentage, and penalty we will go into detail on these below.
The idea of this lootsystem is to stengthen our team as a whole while still trying to keep loot distributed as evenly as possible.
Raider rank
Rank plays only a small part in our point system but it exists because it serves to prioritize our Main-raiders when it comes to gear. Trials and reserve raiders are not excluded.
- Core-Raider
- Raider
- Trialist
Attendance
Attendance plays a major part in the PR points.
It is expected that our main raiders do have a near perfect score on attendance.
We will keep track of every player, their attendance over the last 6 raids (3 weeks).
This will also take into account people that are late for the raid and those who signed-up and did not show without a notice.
Performance
Performance keeps track of both how well you fare on your class/spec and how you perform on boss mechanics.
It keeps track of your parses, overall and by bracket, both from the last raids and your best-average.
For the mechanics, which also includes using food, flask, combat potions, healing potions and healthstones when available. It will take boss mechanics into account and how well you performed on them.
Got a bad parse because you have had a lot of selective mechanics on you during the fights? no worries when you successfully do these mechanics you will earn points.
Upgrade
Upgrade value gets determined by simulations. During a roll, on an item every upgrade percentage of each player will be loaded and the highest percentage in that roll will reward the maximum points, the other players their percentage will award points relative to the highest percentage.
For example:
In a roll for an item person A has a 2% upgrade which is the highest in this roll it will award 10 points, Person B has a 1% upgrade on that same item so he will get 5 points and Person C has 0.76% which will award 3.8 points. (No actual values used in this example)
Penalty
We keep track of players winning items, excluding non-upgrade items like transmog, recipes etc.
The more items you win the higher your penalty becomes.
Penalty point will drop the more evenly loot gets distributed between players.
This does not mean you can't win two items in the same raid, there are a lot of variables that determines who wins an item both from the game and our loot system.
Loot response
Everyone will get a loot window just like the one we are all familiar with, only with different responses then the default (Need greed transmog and pass) responses.
Here is a summary of all the available loot responses sorted on priority.
- BiS: The item is your best in slot across all content.
- Catalyst-BiS: The item is your best in slot when used with a catalyst (add in the note if you have a catalyst charge)
- Catalyst-Upgrade: The item is an upgrade when used with a catalyst (add in the note if you have a catalyst charge)
- Upgrade: The item is an upgrade.
- OS: Item is wanted for a offspec.
- Transmog: Item is wanted for transmog. We use rolls to determine who won the transmog
- Pass: Pass on the item.
It's the idea that people rolling for BiS items get the priority here so It's more likely that someone rolling best in slot will wins the item. We keep track of people their BiS so in case you abuse this there will be consequences. Keep things fair for everyone.
We will use WoWHead to determine the BiS for players, according to sims another item could be BiS because the rest of your gear probably has a whole different stat combination then what your BiS equipment would have.
Non-gear item such as recipes or gear that is only wanted for transmog will still use roll values to see who won. RCLootcouncil will automatically roll for you.
